Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care workers

Target Group:

Healthcare professionals, medical students, emergency responders or anyone needing BLS certification for work or clinical duties

Entry Requirements:

Language proficiency – basic understanding of English to be able to read course material and follow verbal instructions. Physical ability to perform CPR on a manikin including chest compressions and rescue breathing

Learning Objectives:

by the end of this session, participants should be able to:

  • Recognise life-threatening emergencies
  • Initiate the Chain of Survival
  • Perform High-Quality CPR
  • Use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
  • Perform Team-Based BLS
  • Provide Care for Choking Victims
  • Ensure Scene Safety and Use PPE
  • Recognise Return of Spontaneous Circulation (ROSC)

Outcome – Certificate valid for 2 years and 11 CPD points
