Dr Devina Govender

Dr Devina Govender obtained her undergraduate medical degree from the University of KwaZulu Natal in 2003. She then obtained her FC Path from the College of Medicine South Africa in 2012.  She worked in trauma and internal medicine in many hospitals in KZN in the private and state sector before and after specializing. She also gained experience in HIV research and was the recipient of the prestigious Foggarty Ellison scholarship to USA by Prof Abdul Karim who led SA in the covid pandemic. She worked at a private lab in Durban as a consultant for a few years before joining Ampath in 2018. She currently works in Ampath KZN as a senior chemical pathologist.
