Dr Elza Coetzee

Dr Elza Coetzee completed her undergraduate medical degree at the University of Stellenbosch in 1998. She then worked in private practice and eventually in the department of Internal Medicine at the University of the Free State for a few years before completing Chemical Pathology at the same university in 2007. She joined Ampath in 2008 as a consultant chemical pathologist, and enjoyed a short stint at the Pomona laboratory in Gauteng before becoming part of the team in the Southern Cape. Professionally her passions are quality control and method evaluations, while personally she enjoys good food, good music and the freedom of the wide-open spaces of the Karoo.
