Dr Lizelle Nagel

Dr Lizelle Nagel completed her medical studies at the University of Pretoria in 2003. She qualified as a chemical pathologist in 2011 and worked within the National Health Laboratory Service until 2021. In 2022 she joined the Department of Medical Immunology at Ampath’s National Reference Laboratory in Pretoria, where she supports clinical users of autoimmunity, allergy and cellular immunology laboratory diagnostic services as part of a vibrant team of dedicated pathologists. Her specific professional interests are cellular immunology and inborn errors of immunity. She is a member of the Allergy Society of South Africa (ALLSA), South African Immunology Society (SAIS) and European Society of Immunodeficiencies (ESID).
