Dr Roshaan Kariem

Dr Roshaan Kariem obtained her undergraduate medical degree at the University of Cape Town in 2005. Upon qualifying, she rotated through the Port Elizabeth Hospital Complex, completing her internship and community service, and thereafter worked as a medical officer in the Cardiology Department at the Port Elizabeth Provincial Hospital. Dr Kariem obtained her FC Path (Clin) (SA) in 2017 and her MMed (Clin Path) in 2018 at Stellenbosch University. She joined the Ampath team as a Clinical Pathologist in Gqeberha in 2018, where she is involved in antibiotic stewardship and oversees the chemical pathology discipline in the area. Her professional interests include microbiology, general chemical pathology and, endocrinology.
