Andrology is a medical speciality focused on male fertility. Ampath Andrology offers various tests that can assist in identifying male reproductive function. The laboratory is SANAS accredited and evaluates semen samples according to the WHO criteria.

A semen analysis (spermiogram) is the most commonly requested lab test for evaluating male fertility. It provides essential information about both the quantity (like sperm count and volume) and quality (like motility and morphology) of sperm. It's also the go-to test for confirming whether a vasectomy was successful by checking for the absence of sperm in the ejaculate.
